Perhaps a picnic on the beach at sunset would be romantic or a lunch in the park in the afternoon. This is a great idea that allows you to spend quality time together, chat, laugh and enjoy some great food!
Everyone loves a musician—play your love a song! You don’t even have to be good; they’ll be so impressed with the gesture, that they won’t even notice you haven’t brushed up on your guitar playing skills since sophomore year. Bonus points if you write your own song, after all it is Valentine’s Day.
Cuddling up the couch with a DVD with some movie treats is sure to please most. It might sound ordinary or even cliché but snuggling up to a movie and candy is fun! Pack your fridge with his or her favorite sweets and enjoy an evening of cuddling and fun.
A night of dancing may be just what the doctor ordered. Whatever style of music you like, you are sure to find a restaurant or club where you can dance romantically—especially in the Hoboken-NYC area! Perhaps there’s a style of dance your date always wanted to learn, like salsa or ballroom dancing—take lessons!
Who doesn’t love a good scavenger hunt? Plan an adventure with clues and little rewards leading up to a big treasure. This can be done in your house or outside. The more creative the better!
Lastly, a great idea is to get a hotel room. Even if it is right around the block from where you live, the whole luxury of a night spent away is the perfect Valentine’s Day getaway. You may want to stay at a hotel close to where you plan on ending the night so you can stumble back in the love haze that will consume you both after this incredible night!
